This 90-minute workshop is designed for expectant mothers who want to approach birth not just as an event to get through, but as a powerful rite of passage. If you’re craving a more grounded, intentional way to prepare mentally, physically, and spiritually for labor, this space is for you.
We’ll begin with a grounding prenatal yoga practice led by Lindsey, founder of Austin Yoga Lounge, designed to help you move out of your head and into your body. Through intentional movement, breathwork, and nervous system regulation, you’ll build steadiness, body awareness, and inner trust.
From there, Mariya Charlton, ceremonial birth doula trained through DONA International, Birth People (Certified Hypno-Doula), and Spinning Babies, will guide you through meditation and reflective journaling to help you clarify how you want to feel during labor and what daily practices support that vision.
What we’ll explore:
How to shift from fear-based narratives into body-based trust
Practices that regulate your nervous system and cultivate steadiness
Reflection prompts to clarify your intentions for labor and motherhood
Ways to approach birth as an active transformation rather than something that simply happens to you
This workshop is ideal for those in any trimester who want to feel centered, connected, and empowered as they prepare for birth. It also serves as a preview to our deeper 5-week series launching in April for those desiring continued, intentional preparation.
