Labor Strength: Breathing and Movement Workshop for Unmedicated Birth
This two-hour workshop is designed for expectant mothers preparing for an unmedicated or low-intervention birth who want practical, body-based tools for labor. You’ll learn how to use breath, movement, and positioning to work with contractions, conserve energy, and support an effective pushing phase.
We’ll begin with gentle movement to build awareness of your breath, pelvic floor, and core, then layer in evidence-based labor positions and breathing techniques for each stage of labor. You’ll practice specific breathing patterns for early labor, active labor, and pushing, along with positions that help open the pelvis, encourage baby’s descent, and reduce tension and tearing.
What we’ll cover:
Breathing techniques to stay calm, focused, and relaxed through contractions
Labor positions that support progress, comfort, and optimal baby positioning
Pushing strategies and positions that protect the pelvic floor
How to use movement and breath together to manage intensity without medication
This workshop is ideal for those in their second or third trimester who want to feel confident, prepared, and empowered going into birth.
