New to the Studio
What to Expect at
Your First Class
Walking into a new space can stir up all the feelings, so here's everything you need to know before you roll out your mat with us
Before You Arrive
You don't need to prepare anything
Seriously. We have mats, blocks, bolsters, blankets, and everything else you could possibly need. We also have hair ties, deodorant, electrolytes, and snacks. The snacks are free, and yes, people are always surprised by that haha
Wear whatever feels comfortable and lets you move. Most students come in leggings and a tank or t-shirt. If you're coming to a prenatal class, layers are great because your body temperature is doing its own thing right now and we want you to be able to adjust
Try to arrive about 10 minutes early so you can settle in without rushing. We have a whole section on parking and finding the studio below, so scroll down for that if you need it
When You Walk In
Think of it like walking into a friend's living room
The studio is warm, the lighting is soft, and there's usually something good playing in the background. You'll see a spot to leave your shoes and your things, and we'll help you find a place to set up
If it's your first time, just let us know. We'll introduce ourselves, ask if you have any injuries or anything we should know about, and point you in the right direction. There's no front-desk formality here, no clipboard of forms to fill out. Just a real hello and a genuine interest in making sure you feel good
A few things that might be different here
We offer both yoga and strength classes, and both are built with your body in mind. The yoga side focuses on breathwork, movement, and softening into your body. The strength side builds you up in a way that actually supports what your body is doing right now, whether that's growing a baby, recovering from birth, or just feeling stronger in your day to day. You'll hear words like soften, release, and surrender just as much as you'll feel your muscles working. It's not one or the other here
What We Offer
There's something here for wherever you are right now
Prenatal
A class built for your pregnant body and the mind that comes with it. Expect movement that actually feels good, breathwork you'll use during labor, and the kind of community that turns strangers into friends pretty quickly. Whether you're in your first trimester or your last week, we'll meet you where you are
Postpartum
For the days, weeks, and months after birth. This is slow, intentional, and meets you exactly where you are. Babies are welcome and honestly they add to the experience. Nobody here will bat an eye if yours needs to eat or cry or both. We keep diapers and wipes at the studio too, so if you forget yours or run out mid-class, we've got you
Workshops
These go deeper. Think birth preparation with your partner, breastfeeding basics, newborn care, and topics that give you real tools and real information. Some are one-time events, some are multi-week series. They're designed to leave you feeling more informed and more confident, not more overwhelmed
Community Events
Not everything here happens on a yoga mat. We host gatherings, celebrations, and experiences that bring women and families together. The best part about this space has always been the people in it, and these events are how we keep that circle growing

During Class
The only thing we ask is that you listen to your body
Every class is different, but the thread that runs through all of them is this: we're here to help you trust your body a little more than you did when you walked in. That might look like holding a pose longer than you thought you could, or it might look like resting while everyone else is moving. Both are welcome here
Your teacher will offer modifications and encouragement, never corrections that make you feel like you're doing it wrong. There's no wrong way to be in your body
- ◦ Bringing a water bottle is a good idea, we do have cups and a water station but having your own is easier
- ◦ Phones on silent and tucked away, just so everyone can settle into the space fully
- ◦ If you need to step out for any reason, that's completely fine. No explanation needed
- ◦ Prenatal students: if you need to use the restroom 4 times during class, you won't be the first lol
Common Questions
Things people ask us all the time
More than okay. A huge number of our students started right here with zero experience. We'll guide you through everything, and the pace is built so you can follow along without feeling lost. You'll probably surprise yourself
Most students start in their second trimester, but there's no hard rule. If you feel good and your provider is on board, you're welcome anytime. We'll modify for whatever trimester you're in
Please do. The whole point is that you don't have to figure out childcare to take care of yourself. Your baby is part of the experience here. Feeding, fussing, napping on your mat, all of it is normal and welcomed
Then you don't do it. We always offer options, and resting is always one of them. This isn't about getting it perfect, it's about getting into your body and seeing what feels good today. That changes every single class
Yes, reserving your spot online ahead of time is the best way to make sure there's space for you. Our classes do fill up, especially in the evenings
Extremely normal haha. 9/10 partners walk in a little unsure and walk out asking when the next one is. It's not about being flexible or knowing what you're doing. It's about showing up together and learning something new side by side
Getting Here
The parking question, answered
We get asked about parking more than anything else lol. Downtown Austin parking can feel stressful but we promise it's easier than it sounds once you know the layout
Where to park
The easiest option: enter the parking lot from Walsh St, right behind Sherwin-Williams. Look for spots labeled STUDENT PARKING or ATX YOGA and you're good. There's also free street parking nearby if those are taken
Restaurant spots are totally fine to use. After 4 pm the Sherwin-Williams spots open up too, and after 5 pm on weekdays (plus all day on weekends) you can grab the Don Cox and Arsenal spots
Once you're parked
Head to the back of the building, up the stairs to the 2nd floor, shoes off when you walk in. That's it
We saved a spot for you
The hardest part is walking through the door. Everything after that, we've got you
