June Class Bingo
Austin Yoga Lounge
june class bingo
come play with us this month
This month, we're turning your time on the mat into a little game. You'll find the bingo cards up on the studio wall, prenatal and postpartum. Put your name on the one that fits where you are right now, and mark a square each time you come in and do something on the list.
Take a Thursday class, stay for the full savasana, bring a friend, introduce yourself to someone new. The squares are gentle nudges toward the things that make this place feel like home, and the more you show up this month, the closer you get to a prize.
Here's what you're playing for.
Tape your card on the wall, add your name, and start marking it off. We'll see you on the mat.

Eligibility
June Class Bingo is open to all current Austin Yoga Lounge students. One bingo card per person. Prenatal and postpartum cards are offered; please use the card that reflects where you are right now. Cards are displayed on the studio wall. To join, add your name to a card and mark your squares at the studio as you go.
Game period
Only classes, workshops, and activities completed between June 1 and June 30, 2026 count toward a card. Anything completed before June 1 or after June 30 cannot be applied.
How squares are filled
Mark a square on your card each time you complete the activity listed in it. A single class may fill a maximum of two squares, regardless of how many square descriptions could apply to that class. You choose which two. The center heart space is free and counts toward every line.
Winning a bingo
A bingo is any complete row, column, or diagonal, five squares in a line, including the free center space.
The first three students to complete a bingo each win a $75 studio credit.
Winning a blackout
A blackout is a fully completed card, all 25 squares.
The first student to complete a blackout wins one free month of unlimited classes.
Claiming a win
When you complete a bingo or a blackout, let a member of the studio team know so we can verify and record it. Winners are determined by the order in which completed cards are verified at the studio. Austin Yoga Lounge reserves the right to confirm attendance and activity through Momence and studio records before awarding any prize. Squares that can't be verified may be corrected, and cards may be disqualified at the studio's discretion.
Prizes
Prizes are awarded as account credit and have no cash value. They are non-transferable and cannot be exchanged for cash or applied retroactively to past purchases. Studio credit must be redeemed within 6 months of the date it is issued. Once redeemed, the standard terms of whatever it is applied to take effect. For example, a class pack purchased with credit expires three months from activation, consistent with standard class pack terms. The free month of unlimited classes must be activated within 6 months of being awarded and follows the standard terms of the unlimited monthly membership.
General
Participation is voluntary and meant to be fun. Austin Yoga Lounge reserves the right to clarify these rules, resolve disputes, and make final decisions on all winners. Standard studio policies, including cancellation, no-show, and class pack terms, remain in effect during the challenge and are unaffected by participation.

Nourishing the Mother: Ayurveda for the Postpartum Journey
The first 42 days after birth — often called the Sacred Window — are a profound and powerful time for healing, nourishment, and restoration. In many traditional cultures, this early postpartum period is honored as a golden opportunity to set the foundation for a mother’s long-term health, vitality, and emotional wellbeing.
We’re excited to invite you to a special 90-minute workshop where we’ll explore Ayurvedic postpartum care and how you can bring these time-honored practices into your own life or the lives of the families you support.
In this class, you'll learn how the postpartum period is marked by an increase in vata dosha (the energy of air and space) — and why grounding, warming, and deeply nurturing practices are essential to bring balance back to the system after birth.
We'll cover:
✨ Foundational principles of postpartum healing
✨ Herbal and dietary guidance to rebuild strength
✨ Body therapies like abhyanga (nourishing oil massage)
✨ Lifestyle practices to soothe the nervous system and promote recovery
You'll leave with practical, actionable tools you can start using right away — plus a collection of Ayurvedic recipes designed to support nourishment and healing after birth.
What is Ayurveda?
Ayurveda, often called the “Science of Life,” is an ancient holistic system of medicine that supports the wellbeing of body, mind, and spirit. It addresses the root causes of imbalance and offers tools to reconnect with our innate ability to heal.

Candlelit Restorative for Birth Preparation
Candlelit Restorative for Birth Preparation
Step into the soft glow of candlelight and let the outside world fade away. In this 90-minute sanctuary, you’ll be cradled by calming music, supported by plush props, and guided through gentle, opening stretches that invite your body to soften. Each pose is held with care, creating space for your breath to deepen, your mind to quiet, and your heart to surrender. The perfect practice to cool down during a hot summer.
This nurturing practice is designed especially for expectant mothers preparing for birth. With the support of blankets, bolsters, and cushions, you’ll be able to truly let go, release the weight of daily demands, and ease common pregnancy discomforts. As your body unwinds, you’ll have the opportunity to build trust in your own inner wisdom, create more spaciousness for baby, and connect deeply with the life growing within you.
Beyond the physical release, this candlelit class offers something rare in the busyness of pregnancy: a moment of stillness. A place where you can slow down, listen inward, and honor the sacred transition into motherhood. Whether you’re seeking relief, rest, or simply a quiet space to breathe, this restorative journey invites you to be held—in body, mind, and spirit.

House Rules
These rules create a safe, respectful, and nurturing space for mothers to connect, share, and support one another without judgment.
Confidentiality: What is shared in the circle stays in the circle. This ensures a safe space for open and honest conversation without fear of judgment or gossip.
Non-Judgment: We come from different experiences and perspectives, and all feelings, choices, and experiences are valid. This is a space where everyone’s journey is respected.
Active Listening: When someone is speaking, we listen attentively and without interruption, holding space for their words, emotions, and experiences.
Speak from the Heart: Share your thoughts, feelings, and experiences honestly and authentically, using "I" statements (e.g., "I feel...") to express your own perspective.
No Comparison: Each mom’s experience is unique. Avoid comparing or offering unsolicited advice unless asked, and instead, offer empathy and understanding.
Support, Not Fixing: This is a space to offer support, not solutions. Sometimes just being heard is enough—let's hold space for each other’s emotions without trying to "fix" them.
Respect for Silence: It's okay to take a pause or simply listen without feeling the need to speak. Silence is just as valuable as words in this space.
Honor Your Needs (and your baby's): If at any point you need to step out, take a break, or check in with yourself or your baby, honor that need without explanation or guilt.
Compassion and Empathy: Approach each other’s experiences with compassion and empathy, recognizing that motherhood is complex, and we all have our own challenges and triumphs.

Free Prenatal Yoga in the Park | Austin, TX
We're gathering for a free outdoor prenatal practice under the Monkey Tree, a slow morning together for pregnant students who want to move on the grass and maybe stay for a swim afterward
This is a gentle, accessible practice designed for any trimester. Bring whatever modifications and pace your body is asking for, with no expectation to keep up with anyone, including yourself. The springs are right there if you want to dip in after class, and the Monkey Tree is one of those Austin landmarks worth visiting even when you're not pregnant, so we figured we'd combine the two
What to bring A yoga mat, water, and anything else that helps you feel comfortable on the lawn: a towel, sunscreen, a blanket for after
Good to know The class is free. If you want to swim, Barton Springs Pool charges admission after 8 am, so plan to enter the pool area after our practice if you're staying. Sign up below so we can send the exact meet-up location and any weather updates the day before
Why We're Doing This
Austin Yoga Lounge is a prenatal and postpartum yoga studio in central Austin. We teach yoga classes, host birth and breastfeeding workshops, and build community for women at every stage of motherhood. Our studio is small on purpose, our teachers specialize in prenatal and postpartum movement, and we have snacks, hair ties, and even electrolytes waiting for you when you walk through the door.
But some of the best moments happen outside the studio. Community events like this one exist because we believe the village matters just as much as the practice. Motherhood can feel isolating, especially in the early days, and sometimes all it takes is an hour in the park with other women who get it to remind you that you're not doing this alone.
Frequently Asked Questions
Do I need yoga experience? Not at all. This class is designed for all levels. If you can breathe, you can do this.
Is this safe for pregnancy? Lindsey is trained in prenatal yoga and will offer modifications throughout class. Let her know where you are in your pregnancy and she'll make sure you're supported.
What if it rains? We'll send a message to all registered attendees with weather updates. If it's raining, we'll reschedule for another date.
Is this really free? Yes. No catch. Just yoga in the park with good people.

Baby's Lounge: The Sounds Before Word
Sounds Before Words
A gentle morning for mothers and their pre-crawling babies, led by speech-language pathologist Katrina
Your baby is studying your face right now, the way your mouth moves when you say their name, the way your eyes soften when you look at them
Come lean into that with us, in a room full of women doing the same thing you're doing
What we'll do together
A Little Book
Katrina brings a short board-book-style story built around early sounds and the words your baby is quietly working toward. Black-and-white animal pages, for the way new eyes actually see
Songs & Serve-and-Return
Two simple songs you can bring home, one paired with an "I love you" tummy massage. Katrina will walk through serve-and-return, the quiet conversations babies are already having with us through sounds, faces, and little movements
A Tiny Ball Pit
A mini ball pit with toys hidden inside, plus age-appropriate pieces for exploring. We'll talk about why tummy time and floor play matter, and how the gross motor foundation your baby is building now is the same one speech will eventually rest on
Led by Katrina
ASHA-certified with 15 years of speech therapy practice, Katrina founded Tryumph Speech Therapy in Austin to bring play-based, client-centered care to little ones. She's especially at home with preverbal and sensory-seeking babies
Come spend the morning with us
"Babies learn best through interacting with their caregivers. Back and forth interactions build their brain and are so important." — Ms. Rachel

Compassion and Empathy: Approach each other’s experiences with compassion and empathy, recognizing that motherhood is complex, and we all have our own challenges and triumphs.

for women due in June and July
Eight women · Two doulas · Six months
Why we built this
We kept seeing the same thing. Women take a birth class, feel prepared, and then the baby comes and suddenly they're home alone. The postpartum support groups exist, but the reality is you're three weeks out, still in a diaper, barely sleeping, and someone tells you about a group across town. You're supposed to walk into a room full of strangers and say you're not okay?
Most women just don't go
What if the village already existed before the baby came?
The Village exists because your support system shouldn't start after the baby arrives. You meet your people while you're pregnant so by the time you're postpartum, they already know your name, your due date, your story. They're already your village
What's included
Six months of real support
Four Thursday evening sessions
6:30 pm, 90 minutes each. Two sessions on birth led by Lindsey, two on postpartum led by Maddie. Women only, so you can be honest about what you're feeling without filtering. Topics include preparing your body and mind for birth, navigating the hospital, advocating for yourself, what the first weeks postpartum actually look like, feeding, healing, hormones, and setting up real support before baby arrives
Partner involvement
Your partner stays in the loop through take-home exercises designed to be completed together, plus separate partner class opportunities at the studio
Three prenatal yoga classes
Included at Austin Yoga Lounge so you can keep moving, breathing, and building trust in your body through the third trimester
Home visit in August
Lindsey and Maddie visit each participant at home with a postpartum care package. Not a text that says "let me know if you need anything." An actual person at your door during the most tender weeks
Monthly meetups
September, October, November. The group continues meeting with babies in tow. By then you've known these women for months. The postpartum meetups aren't overwhelming because you're not walking into a room of strangers, you're showing up to your village

Baby Massage & Bonding
Through mindful touch and the wisdom of Ayurveda, we’ll explore infant massage techniques that help soothe and regulate your baby's body, ease digestion, strengthen immunity, and encourage deeper, more restorative sleep. Beyond the physical benefits, massage nurtures a profound emotional bond — offering your baby a sense of security, comfort, and love that lays the foundation for lifelong well-being.
Please bring a small pillow, a towel, and a change of clothes for your baby. We’ll provide the massage oil for class.
CPR & Infant Safety Class for New & Expecting Parents
Join us at Austin Yoga Lounge for a comprehensive, 3-hour CPR and Infant Safety Workshop designed specifically for new and expecting parents! This hands-on, interactive class will empower you with life-saving skills and essential safety knowledge to help you feel prepared and confident in handling emergencies involving infants and young children.
Led by an experienced childcare provider and postpartum doula, Laura Hill, this workshop goes beyond standard CPR training to cover a wide range of critical topics, including:
🫀 CPR & AED Usage – Learn how to perform CPR on infants and young children, along with proper use of an Automated External Defibrillator (AED).
🍼 Choking Prevention & Response – Gain hands-on practice in recognizing and responding to airway blockages.
🤕 Emergency First Aid – Understand how to manage situations involving severe illness, bleeding, allergic reactions, and more.
🌙 Safe Sleep & Baby-Proofing Tips – Learn evidence-based recommendations for reducing SIDS risk and creating a secure home environment.
🏡 Everyday Safety Strategies – Explore practical tips for preventing common household injuries and ensuring your child’s well-being.
Each ticket covers you and your partner, ensuring a personalized learning experience with ample time for questions and hands-on practice. This class is designed to build confidence rather than certify—while it does not include official CPR/first aid certification, it focuses on real-world skills to help you respond effectively in emergencies.
Baby and Me Yoga: Weekend Edition
Join us for a special weekend Baby and Me class designed to support postpartum recovery and strengthen your bond with your baby. This session offers gentle movement, breathwork, and community connection in a warm, baby friendly space. Feeding, changing, soothing, and holding your baby however you need are always welcome.
This class is ideal for newborns through pre crawling babies, typically up to six months. We recommend waiting six weeks after a vaginal birth or eight weeks after a Cesarean birth, and ask that you have provider clearance before joining. This class is for postpartum students only.
Birth Partner Essentials: Empowered in the Hospital
This two-hour workshop is designed to prepare couples for the realities of giving birth in a hospital setting. With practical guidance and hands-on learning, you and your partner will walk away feeling informed, confident, and ready to navigate the birth experience together.
What to Expect:
Early Signs of Labor: Learn how to recognize and respond to the first cues that labor is beginning.
Active Labor Tools: Practice comfort measures, movement, and coping techniques to support progress and ease intensity.
Hospital Transitions: Understand when to head to the hospital and how to settle in once you arrive.
Inductions & Interventions: Gain clarity on what to expect if labor is induced and learn ways to stay grounded through decision-making.
Advocacy Skills: Explore how partners can communicate effectively with hospital staff and advocate for the birthing person’s preferences.
Benefits:
Builds confidence for both partners in navigating labor and birth
Equips partners with tangible tools for comfort, advocacy, and support
Strengthens teamwork and connection during a transformative life event
Provides peace of mind through clear, realistic preparation
One ticket per couple.
